Lucky Habanero Spinach & Bacon Quiche


A Bold Twist on a Classic Brunch Favorite

This Lucky Habanero Spinach & Bacon Quiche takes a classic brunch dish and gives it a flavorful upgrade. By mixing

 directly into the egg custard, you get roasted chilies, tomatoes, and spices in every bite.

It’s perfect for breakfast, brunch, or even an easy dinner.

Ingredients

• 1 (9-inch) pie crust

• 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled

• ½ cup chopped onion

• 1½ cups baby spinach, chopped

• 1¼ cups shredded cheese (cheddar, Monterey Jack, Swiss, or mozzarella)

• 5 large eggs

• 1¼ cups half-and-half

½ tub Lucky Habanero Salsa (Medium or Original Hot)

• Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

1. Preheat the Oven

Preheat oven to 375°F.

Place the pie crust in a 9-inch pie dish. Line it with parchment and pie weights (or dry beans) and bake for 15 minutes. Remove weights, prick the crust with a fork, and bake 8 more minutes until lightly set.

2. Cook the Filling

In a skillet, cook the bacon until crisp. Remove and crumble.

Drain most of the bacon grease, then add the chopped onion and spinach to the pan. Sauté for about 2 minutes, just until the spinach wilts.

3. Build the Quiche

Add the following ingredients to the partially baked crust:

• bacon

• sautéed onion

• spinach

• shredded cheese

Spread evenly.

4. Make the Lucky Habanero Egg Mixture

In a bowl or blender, combine:

• eggs

• half-and-half

½ tub Lucky Habanero Salsa

• salt and pepper

Blend or whisk until smooth.

Pour the mixture evenly over the filling in the pie crust.

5. Bake

Reduce oven temperature to 350°F.

Bake the quiche for 40–45 minutes, or until the center is set and the top is lightly golden.

Let it cool for 10 minutes before slicing.
